Maximising
Value at the Conference
Make sure you have business cards with you at all times.

Wear comfortable shoes.

Write notes of useful information and then review those notes after the conference. You might use those notes to write a trip report, workplace briefing, etc.

Only take hardcopies of literature that you intend to carry back to the office with you. This reduces costs and is better for the environment.

Make notes on any business cards you collect about who the person is and why you want to stay in touch.

Dress in layers. You can then make yourself comfortable in different temperature zones.

Don't be embarrassed if you don't remember someone's name. That is why we wear name tags! If you lose your name tag notify the Registration desk immediately.

Talk to the speakers after their presentations or at other times during the conference.

Keep good eating habits. This will make you feel better and the scale will like you when you get back home.

Do talk to someone! Maximise your value from the conference by networking.
